1-Dialogue between Charles and Ahmed

Charles: It’s really rainy out there, your clothes are dropping wet.
Ahmed: I really got wet.
Charles: Take off those wet shoes. And take off your jacket too. Put on this robe.
Ahmed: Thanks Charles, I feel better already.
Charles: Try on these slippers. I’m going to make some tea.
Ahmed: That’s a wonderful idea!

2- Listen to the word clothes in some sentences:
Your clothes are wet.
I bought some new clothes.
Does Frank have some new clothes?
We have many old clothes.
This store sells nice clothes.
Ruth wants some new clothes.

3- Listen to the word “dress” in different meanings
Ann has a new brown dress.
I’d like to buy Ruth another dress

She doesn’t like the yellow dress.
They want to get some new dresses.

Do you like Ann’s new dress?
I think it’s a very pretty dress.

Please get dressed right away.
The children are getting dressed.

They’ll get dressed soon.
I got dressed quickly.

Is frank getting dressed?
No, he isn’t getting dressed.

4- The verb “wear”
Wear= wore

Ann wears nice clothes.
Ruth wore a brown dress yesterday.

Frank is wearing a new suit.
I’ll wear my new suit tomorrow.

Are you wearing your new shoes?
No, I’m wearing my old ones.

Did you wear a jacket this morning?
No, I wore a sweater.

What did Petty wear to school?
She wore a skirt and blouse

Are you going to wear this shirt?
Yes, I’m going to wear it.

5-put on /take off/ try on
Please put on this robe.
Please put on the brown dress.

Please put on that white sweater.
Frank put on his new suit.

I’ll put on my old shirt.
Billy won’t put on his shoes.

Please take off your jacket.
Please take off your hat.

Please take off those wet shoes.
Ann took off her coat.

I’m taking off my wet shoes.
Frank will take off his tie.

Please try on that green shirt.
Please try on these nice gloves.

Please try on this hat.
Ruth is trying on a new hat.

I tried on some shoes yesterday.
I’d like to try on that coat.

6- “would you like”
Would you like to wear my robe?
Yes, I’d like to wear it.

Would you like to take off your shoes?
Yes, I’d like to take off my shoes.

Would you like to try on these slippers?
No, I’d rather try on those boots.

Would you like to put on this sweater?
No, I’d rather put on that jacket.
